I forgot to mention that the “note” looks nothing like a manifesto or suicide note that I’d expect. It’s a single small piece of paper by the looks of it, hotel notebook, not even an 8.5X11.
A guy who went through all this preparation would probably write a longer explanation if he wrote anything.
People kill themselves all the time in hostage situations, and times when they’ve been caught committing a crime and are holed up.
People kill family members and then themselves.
It all depends on what is going on with the person.

Doesn’t it make sense that if somebody was going to plan something like this and pull it off he would not have any contact with his accomplices via any electronic devices since this activity is being heavily monitored now???
What if Steve Paddock was an arms dealer? The $100K wired overseas was for the illegal purchase of the guns. He was to sell to iSIS in the vegas suit , Paddock brings all the heavy equipment to town and up to the room for the exchange, the so the terrorists risk nothing getting caught . So he was used , they planed to murder him in the room , make it look like suicide to mask their get away, Simply they used him as a mule , killed. him and the 60 others on the ground, then left him as seemly a suicide decoy to get away. For this to work, they had video monitors in the hall to know when swat arrived. They escaped through a vent or panel in the room, maybe repelled down the open window , who knows ... Paddock’s body and the guns are left in the room., as a diversionary tactic , the terrorists get away and made video feeds of the whole massacre..
All of that is useless to ISIS or whoever unless they can prove they did the act.
That one remains high on my list of potential explanations, though I'm warming to the idea that Paddock may have been set up as the fall guy for this massacre.

Lots of speculation here. "Appears to show a suicide note". Could be a room service receipt for all we can tell. Additional shooters- non-opening windows had to be broken out on the 32nd floor...where are the lower floor broken out windows? "No military background... It is physically impossible for a guy like Stephen Paddock to operate such a system in the sustained, effective manner that we witnessed, especially when shooting from an elevated position which throws off all the ranging of the weapon system."- For individual targeting that would be correct. But for simply spraying fire into a crowd, not an issue. Just point at the most densely packed area and pull the trigger.

There are video feeds maybe these will be broadcast for propaganda so could be useful to ISIs , and they will also like to claim they have the power to radicalize westerners, whether true or not .

#1 Photos of Stephen Paddock’s hotel room have been leaked, and one of those photos appears to show a suicide note. Why hasn’t the public been told what is in that note?

#2 Were there additional shooters? A taxi driver reportedly captured video of an automatic weapon being fired out of a lower level window. A video from another angle and brief footage captured by Dan Bilzerian also seem to confirm that automatic gunfire was coming from a floor much lower than the 32nd floor room that Stephen Paddock was located on. And if you weren’t convinced by the first three videos, this fourth video should definitely do it.

In essence, the concert trapped the people, preventing them from escaping, and denying them the ability to seek cover. From there, sustained, full-auto gunfire is almost impossible to survive.
