Lousiana Cops Boycott Ford Over Support For Kneeling NFL Players
Investing Channel ^ | 10-12-2017

It appears Jamele Hill gave more Americans than she hope an idea when she urged protesters to - 'hit them in the wallet' - but this time it is a Louisiana sheriff's office that is boycotting Ford over the automaker's decision to support NFL players' right to peacefully protest during the national anthem.

As a reminder, earlier in the week NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell flip-flopped from his original anti-Trump stance, issuing a statement that:

"We believe that everyone should stand for the National Anthem... We also care deeply about our players and respect their opinions and concerns about critical social issues."

But Ford - ever ready to signal its virtue loud and proud - issued a statement that it:

Ford "respects individuals' rights to express their views, even if they are not ones we share. That's part of what makes America great."

That weasly statement appears to have been the last straw for Sheriff Julian Whittington of the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office said in a letter to the its dealership, Hixson Ford of Alexandria, that it would no longer buy the company's police vehicles.

ALL PDs should follow suit. Aren’t most police vehicles Fords, too?

I agree. On their own time, not their employer's time.

The “American made” restrictions many local governments dictate force local governments to buy Ford vehicles.

Are all these big company CEO liberals and imbeciles? Apparently they are not even smart enough to keep their trap shut. If they, as business leaders, want to publicly weigh in on patriotic and political issues, they will pay the price for casting their lot with the losers.

They were mostly Fords ten years ago.
Today, Dodge seems to the supplier of choice.

Ford lost out to Dodge. Used to love the Crown Vic, but the Charger is a fine replacement.

Good on the Sheriff.

If white players paraded around the field with a Nazi field would Ford support their right to express their opinion?

Didn’t think so—another leftist fraud exposed.

I wonder how Ford management would react if their own employees started trash-talking the brand and encouraging family and friends to buy Chevy and Chrysler.

I agree. On their own time, not their employer's time.

That's up to their employer.

The other side of the coin is that we don't have to buy that employer's products.

I have seen a story (on another website) about Cops Kneeling in a similar way. One glance at the photo and I instantly got a different image in my mind.
It appeared that they were doing it not in respect, but aping the cop who knelt on Goerge Floyd"s neck. So if you see a cop Kneeling you will probably think the same way as I did.
I also saw a national guard soldier addressing a group of Protesters and I got the impression that he was protecting the protesters as opposed to what the cops were doing.(Cops were attacking innocent civilians.)
