There was a time when Men lived with Men without suspicion of being homosexual. I know when I was a kid it often happened to save money so they could afford marriage and a family.
Those days or over now I suppose. When you read a story like this you automatically think homosexual. God Help Us!
Yep that’s how they make the claim Lincoln was homo since he shared living space with another guy in his younger years.
And men can’t be close friends anymore unless they are gay according to some. This way of thinking has seriously damaged male friendships because certain parts of culture will claim this doesn’t exist - there *has* to be something ‘more’.
Back in the 70s when I was single my roommate and I often did the grocery shopping together because we did most of our meals at home because we were cheap and poor. I suppose now it would probably be construed as some sort of a “relationship”.
Ain't that the truth. And here's another one.
I started a little Home Theater business with a friend and I would say, "My partner, George...."
One day my niece takes me aside and said, "You need to quit saying that." "Saying what?". "That's he's your partner". I said, "OK, so it's really a Type S corporation, I still call him my partner".
After she quit rolling her eyes she told me that everyone would think we were homosexuals because that's what "partner" meant now.
So I had to start saying,
"My business partner, George.....".
