It would cause a proliferation of 3d printing and of other devices and processes of which there are several now and will be more later. Laws against gun parts just cause them to be made privately and untraceably. it is much too easy to do that now. Passing laws against these things magnifies the interest in them and causes people who own guns and who fear the government to realize that these things are must-haves. These laws must be magnificently self-defeating.
