President Donald Trump has already appointed one Supreme Court justice, and is reportedly telling people he believes he will appoint three more.
Multiple sources told Axios' Jonathan Swan that Trump is openly predicting he'll be able to fill four Supreme Court seats as president.
One of Trump's signature victories as president has been the appointment of Justice Neil Gorsuch, who filled a seat left vacant by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia in 2016. The open seat caused controversy, as Scalia died during Barack Obama's presidency. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell worked to allow the next president to fill the position.
Talking about Ginsburg, one source told Axios, Trump said, "What does she weigh? 60 pounds?" Ginsburg is 84 years old.
Trump has talked about Sotomayor's Type 1 diabetes, according to Axios, telling the source, "Her health ... no good. Diabetes."

P-— poor journalism and writing. Any administration is going to assess how many court seats they may have to fill. There is inherently nothing wrong with doing so.
The writer attempts to spin it so that Trump is one step away from pushing Justice Ginsberg down the stairs.

I would not mind if God sees fit to have a few step down or otherwise need to be replaced in 2018.
I wonder if anyone has legal type info on any justices that can come to light and help a few make choices to leave the bench?
Ginsburg & Kennedy will be out of there before 2020.
We need two more solid conservatives. Kennedy swings with the wind and Roberts is unreliable. He’ll likely also need to replace Thomas who is said to want off the merry go round.

Maybe Bannon will be successful in primarying some of these creeps. We shall see....

Not quite. The USSC is only the end of the road for issue cases; there are still plenty of leftist stations along the way in the appellate and original courts. Most of these cases don’t make it to the Supreme Court.
Trump needs to make DOZENS of conservative appointments there.
Sotomayer is a stretch.
If Kennedy leaves and is replaced by a conservative, producing a 5-4 conservative majority, it removes Ginsburg's reason for holding on. If Ginsburg leaves, and Kennedy no longer has the status of "swing vote", then he is more likely to finally retire. If Kennedy AND Ginsburg leave, leaving Kagan, Sotomayer, and Breyer in a permanent minority, none of them will have a major reason to want to stay if they develop health issues.
