One disturbing angle to libraries as pervert magnets is that my kids describe schoolmates using the library for “free” aftercare; the parents direct the kids to go there until they are home from work. If they used the real aftercare program they’d have to pay, so they figure there is at least one adult present at the library who will keep a lid on things.
Very creepy...
