Last week on BBC's "Hardtalk," actress Jane Fonda was asked by show host Stephen Sackur if inside her she had a "sense of regret" for her 1972 visit to North Vietnam at the height of the Vietnam War.
Fonda denied having any regret about the visit itself and argued she had justifications for the trip.

The [only] part she said she had regretted was appearing with the anti-aircraft and looking that she was against American soldiers and "siding with the enemy," which she said wasn't the case.

Back in the 1960’s Jane Fonda was the Ingenue. She made good pictures and was a good actress. I trace her downfall to her involvement with Radical Tom Hayden.
Her last picture that I liked before she got radical was probably “Barefoot in the Park” in 1967. After that she started down the road of real radicalism.
Bring a book. It’s going to be a long line. I’m hoping we can rent a truck that can provide free beer.
It might be a good idea to establish a depository for posthumous use.

Regardless of what she says,the impression she gave by this vile act of being anti-American is the correct one. Her far Left activism before and since her Hanoi visit confirms the fact the she is an enemy of America. She is a traitor and should have been punished for that long ago.

What crap is this? Of course it was the case, she reveled in it, and the notoriety it brought her launched a highly lucrative public career. I recall her "apology" - she grudgingly stated that returning Vietnam veterans "didn't need that," referring to the public obloquy she had whipped up against them on the way to fame and fortune. That's not an apology.
There really haven't been many people I detest to quite the extent that I detest her - Teddy Kennedy, perhaps, mighty short list after that. Her ladder of success was built with the bones of American servicemen. To hell with her.
IMHO, if she wasn’t suffering from the long-term old-age effects of syphilis, she would be seen in ISIS videos holding up a severed head...
