NOT TRUE! He was not tortured for 5 years. I doubt he was “tortured” much at all. He told them EVERYTHING they wanted to know WITHOUT being tortured.
“Resisted early release” sort of true except it was for his fear of being convicted as a TRAITOR. The passage of time was his friend and it worked out that way for him.
