I’m sure there are plenty of the pink knitted hats left over from the womens march these elite players could wear instead of team helmets.

The more commonly used term is “inmates running the asylum”.
Had McNair used that term, there would be ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE in the reaction.
These protests are about hatred of white people.

That was not apologizing
That was groveling

I don’t know why people in these situations insist on these multiple apologies. The “offended” parties are never satisfied with that, the apologies are never accepted, because the “offense” becomes a propaganda weapon and a negotiating lever. If the apology is accepted the “offense” loses its value to the “offended.”

The left knows this. They never apologize for their actions, they merely apologize that their words or actions were misunderstood, or that they’re sorry that the offended parties were upset. Then they double down.

As for this asinine proposal by the players, aren’t there league rules about what can and cannot be done to the uniforms?

Yeah - well maybe if they see the thugs acting up they might begin to think of something else. Okay, maybe after the game.

Good advice. These players are replaceable. Scores of good player failed to make the draft.

Although vastly overpaid, the players realize they are nothing more than entertainers and irrelevant, producing nothing. Now in their pathetic attempts to appear relevant, they only reveal their deep contempt for a country that has been nothing but good to them, one that has pampered and rewarded them.

They will never love this country and cheer on those who insult it. What lack of gratitude.

McNair's comment was dumb - he made the remark in a private owners meeting, but he has to realize that everything in these meetings gets leaked. And the comment itself was just dumb - what point was he trying to make?

But once it got out there, McNair should never have apologized. He should instead have demanded an apology for the leaking of a comment he made in private that was never intended for public consumption.

Now the players are talking about not playing - they're under contract and would be in breach if they refuse to play. It's all going to end badly for the league and its players.

There are plenty of white guys who have been screwed- undrafted, stuck in free agency, deep on depth charts and stuck on practice squads all because pf their skin color. They would be ecstatic at the chance to play. Cut these losers and put these guys in. The real injustice in the NFL is how non blacks are treated.. if they even make the NFL....or college teams!

Baseball has a lot of black and spanish players. No problem there.

And a LOT more spanish fans of baseball than football.

I think the black or more the problem than the spanish.

I think Bush II got a decent amount of their vote.

Even 22 percent of black MEN voted for Trump, or at least DIDN’T vote for hillary.

Maybe there’s some hope.

He should have said, “Excuse me. My mistake. I should have said we can’t have the thugs runnin’ the hood.”

You can still be fined by the NFL if you wear the “wrong” gear. If anything, the league enforces these rules more strictly now than they did in the 1980s.

The following is what I’ve been hearing from pretty much EVERY major league franchise.

If they peel off the Texans logos, that’ll piss off a lot of actual Texans.

They should go for it.

This past summer I visited my son in Houston and we visited the Texas Prison Museum in Huntsville. One of the most interesting museum I’ve ever been in. A display of the Houston Texans players and their prison records would be an great addition.

The owners are dumb. Why give their league over to a bunch of guys from the inner cities. Stupid handling of their business. The contracts are crazy. The players have the power it seems.

If I owned the team, removal of the team logo from a helmet would be the equivalent of a resignation letter. So mote it be.
