So are “transgender women” men who mutilated themselves into looking like women or is it the other way? I can’t tell the players without a program these days.

“Transgender” means “fake”. The words are identical.
So “transgender woman” means “fake woman”. That’s a man who may be mutilated to some degree and is using a feminine name.
