Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri announced his resignation on Saturday, stressing that Irans hands in the region will be cut off, emphasizing the fact that wherever Iran is involved, there is nothing but devastation and chaos.
"In his speech, he said the atmosphere in the country is similar to the one that existed before his father, the late prime minister Rafik Hariri, was assassinated in 2005.
We are living in a climate similar to the atmosphere that prevailed before the assassination of (his father the late prime minister) martyr Rafik al-Hariri. I have sensed what is being plotted covertly to target my life, he said."

Is Saudi Arabia Pushing Israel Into War With Hezbollah and Iran?
https://www.haaretz.com/middle-east-news/1.821085
Truth is coming out.
As a result of Obama, Iran, Russia and Syria and taking over the Middle East.
That is why Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Israel and Saudi Arabia are building a coalition to take them out.
All these years of Israel’s Netanyahu warning the West about Iran was not the boy who cried wolf at all.
A lot of speculation in that editorial
That is what I see it as. But I'm no expert.
Yes, it is about ME, so it is a lot of truths and half truths. ;-)
(Elsewhere the volatile quote is being attributed to a Saudi Minister.)
EXCERPT:
The Saudi minister for gulf affairs, Thamer al-Sabhan, who is a vocal critic of Iran, tweeted: The hands of treachery and aggression will be cut off.
This schism has only been enhanced by the most recent civil wars and the coming apart at the seams of the 100 year old Sikes-Picot agreements following WWI. The Colonial powers divided up the region and now these lines are being redrawn, violently.
Iran (since 1979) seeks regional hegemony and would love to conquer Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia but Saudi Arabia is fighting for the Kingdom's life in Yemen and other places against the Houti rebels who are backed by Iran.
Now we have Russia supporting everybody and anybody who will let them step into the region and test all their weapons developed over the last 35 years while supplying Iran with Nuclear know-how.
We now have Russia + Iran + Syria + North Korea all churning up the region while little Israel, attacked by 8 years of Obama, up against huge, battle-hardened, cruel Arab (Syria + Hizbollah) and Persian armies, poised on her northern border.
Hopefully Trump will restore the American superpower status and respect.
Would you say we are best allied with the Saudi faction, bringing along Israel in this equation, or simply backing Israel to the exclusion of all others. Saudi doesn't seem like a friend to us.
In other words, what is our best move, in your opinion.
America seems to always put all it's diplomatic and strategic eggs in one basket, relying on, say, countries over the years like South Vietnam, Iran, Egypt and the Philippines. All these countries have gone through periods of upheaval, revolutions, coups, massive protests and tossing out entrenched American soldiers, supervisors and diplomats. The bottom line is that America goes with unstable regimes except one - Israel. There have always been those “Arabists” in the State Dept. and in the White House who have isolated Israel or played down here role as a vital US ally.
Instead of inundating you with massive and tiring explanations I will try to simplify the situation as it stands today.
Traditionally, the US needed Iran, Turkey and the oil rich kingdoms of the Middle East as a bulwark against the USSR. After 1989 all that changed with the implosion of the USSR.
These regimes were/are corrupt but you NEED them, that's how the real world works, that's how Russian and China work. Only the US under weak leadership and naivete during the Carter and Obama Presidencies tried to deny helping our allies because of “Human rights” violations.
Saudi Arabia is a tyrannical Kingdom, a racist Kingdom. a primitive Kingdom, a religious Kingdom despite all her wealth and “toys”. Just look at her flag. I think the motto on the flag states, there is but one God and it is Allah alone and there is a huge scimitar under the motto. That means God and the sword, or, in short, Islam of the Sunna type. The US backed Saudi Arabia and still does BUT...even after 9/11 and their Wahabbi form of radical Islam, they are now fighting what I believe is very much in the US national interest - namely, against the Shia Iran/Hizbollah/Houti/Syrian/North Korean/Russian axis. In other words, their struggle in Yemen, (which is a war hardly reported on in the States for the last 3 years) is OUR struggle. By the way, the Saudis now NEED the state they always vilified - Israel more than ever.
After Obama let Mubarak's Egypt collapse under the Muslim Brotherhood a few years ago (in the same fashion that Carter let the Shah of Iran collapse) he then supported Morsi in Egypt - what a friggin;’ mistake!!! Obama said that Mubarak's;’ Egypt violated Human rights and he supported their Democratic elections which put America's arch enemy in power - the Muslim Brotherhood. So he alienated Egypt.
Now comes Israel. Israel is the only stable, liberal, Democratic, tolerant, free, capitalist, Western nation in the region and is America's most reliable (and stable) partner in the region despite those that claim the Jews are controlling US Foreign policy.
You have no idea how much INTEL and war booty the Israelis have shared with the US over the years. Now the world is shifting against the West and Israel. Now due to Obama ignoring the nasty threats to our allies, these allies have gone ahead and formed their own secret alliances in order to counter Iran, Syria and Russia. Methinks Israel has already formed secret alliances and defense pacts with Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and others in order to thwart these threats because, simply put, the US has voted absent since Obama came to power. Their is a power vacuum in that region because the US backed away from being a Superpower and Russia has taken advantage of that vacuum.
Obama gave Iran the bomb in the same way Clinton gave North Korea the bomb. The sad part is this:
Much of the US’ foreign policy since WWII was top prevent the Russians from gaining bases in the Middle East and Mediterranean sea and since Obama, that primary objective has disintegrated.
I could go on but I don't want to overkill your questions...all the best.
