Saudis, Iran on path to 'very, very bloody' war
World Net Daily ^ | 11/7/2017 | Greg Corombos

While the world tries to interpret Saudi Arabia's moves to clamp down on corruption and watches the kingdom accuse Iran of an "act of war," a former Reagan administration Pentagon official says Saudi Arabia is gearing up for the very real possibility of a "very, very bloody" war with Iran.

Within the past several days, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is next in line to the Saudi throne, has ordered the arrests of many government officials, including 11 princes, on allegations of corruption. More recently, the crown prince accused Iran of an “act of war” after Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen launched an Iranian missile toward the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

The Houthis admit firing the missile, and Saudi investigators say the fragments prove the missile is from Iran. Furthermore, the Saudi-friendly prime minister of Lebanon abruptly resigned, and many other elements of the Lebanese government are loyal to the Shiite regime in Iran.

So are the events of the past week just the latest developments in an unstable region or something far more significant?

A big hit is coming to Iran. However, history has shown that Saudi Arabia can not wage serious war. They will hire their white skinned slaves to do the dirty work for them. This may not happen for some time however while the House of Saud does a spring cleaning...

If they pay for Janiserries then more power to them.

Death and destruction can’t come soon enough for the Arabs and Iranians.

The problem is that the Saudi’s are not practice warriors.

They’re just rich.

I don't think anything serious will happen but let's not get in their way.

The Kingdom better be very careful here. Geography points to battleground Iraq and the Kingdom, even with the Gulf states, and that is prblematical would be sorely outmanned. Their far superior air assets are a plus, but wars are won on the ground and if the battleground is Mesopotamia the Kingdom is in real trouble.

Iran's population is estimated to number 80.28 million

Saudi Arabia's population is estimated to be 32.28 million, which includes something on the order of five million foreign nationals who do most of the work there.

If we are smart, we will sell weapons to both sides.

Keep the USA out of it.

The fact that we defend (and Americans die for!) the family-gangster-kleptocracy that owns and propagates disgusting Wahabbist Islam has got to be the biggest stain on American foreign policy for the last 40 years.

This is our one chance to make sure Iran cannot get nuclear weapons. It could be the plan.

And they gave to stop and pray 5 times a day. No wonder the Iran/Iraq war lasted so long.

We should stay out of it, but we should use it as an opportunity to scheme for regime change. If Iranian armies get bogged down in deserts, and huge numbers of their soldiers are dying, they may just head back home ready to get rid of the mullahs.

My ex-brother in law went to SA for 5 years after he retired from the USAF to train Saudi flight mechanics to maintain their F-15s. He said it was an incredible waste of time. They were lazy and arrogant and when they weren’t they were praying all the time.

Every “war” since Viet Nam shows you cannot move armor without air superiority/dominance.

And without armor you cannot win. Just like ISIS.

An bunch of Shiite warriors would learn that lesson.

Iran’s only hope would be to take out all Saudi airfields with their missiles, and the Saudis have good missile defense and a high tolerance for casualties.

Iran would also have to worry about the Israeli and Jordanian air forces. And ALL the stuff the US would give them, to include battlefield intelligence.

I do not believe Iran can project military forces into Arabia. But they can sure infiltrate terrorists through Iraq and Yemen.

Buy oil futures. The Strait will close for a time, and the markets will freak. Sell them 2 days after the Strait closes and before the US conclusively intervenes.
