My crazy speculation only came from the way its being played out in the news....Like there's something missing in this story...Is it grass clipping?..politics?..or something else?

This is so stupid. The speculation is as if Paul had been killed, so the motivation has to be pieced together via clues.
Paul was injured, not killed. He can speak. If he wanted people to know the reason he was attacked, he could tell us. Meantime, it’s an idiotic waste of time to speculate. One of the people who knows has given a vague reason. The other party made a couple of coy tweets. It’s not enough to go on.
The doctor has a serious problem in that he can be charged and tried in both the state and the federal systems for what he did, may have to serve time or probation in both systems consecutively, and may lose his job, license, career, home, and family in the process.
This bears repeating. Unless the doctor is a certified lunatic, why would he risk all this for what he's trying to claim amounts to nothing more than a dispute between neighbors.

I would go for civil damages right away. That way he won’t have money left for a decent criminal lawyer.
Pretty easy for a MD. All he had to do was bunch both fists and hold them vertically against Paul’s sternum while he delivered a really hard tackle that knocked Paul down very quickly. It would be like landing on a couple of rocks. Paul’s body weight and momentum would have done the rest of the damage.

Still; anyone over 50 isn’t going to heal nearly as fast as a younger person but somewhat faster than someone in their 60’s.

Either an intentional kill shot or a deliberate incapacitating shot. Just imagine what would happen to you if a 180 lb man tackled you from behind, full force, and you landed with your sternum on a large rock the size of two doubled up fists. People who get sucker pinched and hit their heads on curbs as they drop are often killed or permanently incapacitated.

No they aren’t,but since my 5 kids are all in their fifties I consider the fifties positively youthful years.:-)
