In the last four national elections, Americans made it clear that we wont accept the economic stagnation weve suffered during this past decade. Obamas policies of higher taxes and greater regulatory burdens suppressed economic growth to a dismal 1.5 percent annual average about half the post-war growth rate of three percent.

Liberals say to tax the rich and Kali claims to be the 7th largest GDPs in the world, so tax the rich, tax Kali!
Why should the rest of us support Kali by giving them tax breaks so they don’t pay into the federal system as much as the res to us??
I understand this argument, but its troublesome that the lawmakers responsible for this have yet to justify it in these terms ...
Because theyre idiots
Blue States need to start paying their fair share retroactively. (Unconstitutional) Retro worked under Obozo.
I agree, and Ive paid Illinois income tax my whole adult life.
On the contrary the rich in Florida where I live don’t care very much about this issue because we don’t have an income tax. This is a deductions that benefits largely the rich in the Blue States.
That could be due to his rookie status in the House. McClintock was only elected to the US Congress in 2009 so he was a one term Congressman when Boehner became Speaker.
It’s curious that he remains quiet now- but so does my own Rep Ed Royce and he’s been in the House since 1992. Other than Rohrbacher and Issa I can’t think of any California Republican House member who speaks up. And IMO Issa is no prize, he sucks on border and patent issues.
I live in California, if it is going to Hurt California, I say Bring it on, the sooner we let this ship sink the sooner we can build a new one.
McClintock:
How much damage is the Oct 1, 2017, gas tax increase of 12 cents per gallon & 20 cents ++ per gallon of diesel doing to Californians?
How long before truckers won’t even come into California?
Kill the bill ping.
Yeah...Issa is a useless shill
Banksters Mnuchin and Gary Cohn from Goldman Sachs are writing the tax bill.
The biggest heist in history.
“Mnuchin is a member of the “Big Six”, a group of politicians convened to write a tax reform proposal that incorporated input from members of the House of Representatives, Senate, and White House.
In addition to Mnuchin, the group consists of Senators Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY); Representatives Kevin Brady (R-TX) and Paul Ryan (R-WI); and National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn”.
Did it ever occur to you that the people writing this tax bill are lying Goldman Sachs oligarchs, (the same scumbags that were “too big to fail” and got the taxpayers to bail them out back in 2008) that want a huge tax cut for corporations and get the upper middle class to pay for it?.
This bill raises taxes on a family of four in ANY State, whether they have a State Income tax or not.
Have you actually ever filed a tax return?
Yes. Ive actually filed more than 35 of them. No. It doesnt raise taxes on every family of 4. It may or may not raise my taxes. If so, then probably not by much. Im in the 75th or 80th income percentile. I have a home worth about $300k, a vacation home worth about $250k, and a mortgage. Even if you add the real estate taxes on both homes and the home interest together it still doesnt add up to $12,000 which is the threshold for itemizing. And they are going to increase the standard deduction considerably so I could have a lot more in state and local taxes as well as interest and it still would result in a tax cut. You really need to be in the highest income level for this to result in a tax increase. And also you need to be in a high tax state like NY, CA, or IL.
Im waiting for one of these articles to say how much other states are subsidizing liberal state high taxes. Federal taxes should be equal across all states.

My gas taxes pay for New Yawkahs subway rides and Bostons big dig along with high speed trains to nowhere in Cali... My income tax bill is higher than it should be because those same whiney libs in CA , MA and NY get to deduct their state income taxes... it’s about time imposing a state income tax has consequences for the taxing authorities.
What's the baseline to determine where the "hurt" begins?
If it "hurts" those who pay zero taxes but still get a "refund", should that taxpayer funded "supplement" keep being added to those who pay zero taxes?
