This makes me sick. My brother had to get a note from an eye doctor in order to be able to enlist in the Army. I don’t remember the exact situation, but I do remember my parents saying he had to go to a specialist and be cleared to enlist. That was back in ‘64 or ‘65. He was in the infantry, and in Vietnam ‘66 - ‘67. Nobody’s left in my family to ask now. I was 16 or 17 at the time.
