You can’t possibly be serious (market ticker guy finds forgery)
Market Ticker ^ | 11/15/2017 | Karl Deninger

Karl Deninger has proof of forgery in yearbook. ... Jesus, it's that obvious and CNN ran this crap?

People need to go to ****ing prison for this. NOW.

Yes, including Gloria Allred. The yearbook is an obvious forgery and she peddled it on national television; that needs to be good for disbarment and prosecution.

The original tweet from CNN can still be looked at. We'll see how long it is before they try to take it down.

I took the image on the right side of their tweet, brought it into Photoshop and increased the size.

I will swear under oath that I did nothing to tamper with the color or tone and in fact did nothing other than increasing its zoom level to 400% because it would be impossible to tamper with the image at said greatly enhanced zoom level without causing visible artifacts in the background and periphery of the letters. There is also a gradient in the paper caused by a B&W photo being in part of the area where the signature is, which again will cause visible artifacts if I were to try to tamper with it. In other words I did this to add irrefutable proof that I did not in any way tamper with the image itself. I also saved the extract from the tweet as a "PNG" which is lossless from my desktop to yours; no compression so there are no artifacts added in my process either; whatever CNN put forward, that's what I (and you) have.

The ink looks heavier in the signature...

It might be possible that the girl added the extra words but how likely would it be that she misspelled the name of her employer? Apparently the restaurant has always been Old not Olde.

Somebody needs to find a copy of that issue of yearbook and look up every Ray in there. Would be great if the original Ray could be found.

A pen that is running out of ink will get lighter, but it will not go from black to blue.

The pen is BLUE, the *** **** pen is BLUE!

Sorry....

I’ve seen lots of pics of the yearbook in color, and I don’t believe there is a difference in ink color.

Why there appears to be a difference in that one twitter shot, I don’t know.

If there were actually such a pronounced and obvious ink color difference, Roy Moore and his attorneys would be yelling about it, and they aren’t.

I think the ink color change is an artifact that is not actually present when you see the page for real.

I suggest testing the ink. Surely the ink from 2017 has different chemical markers.

No I straightened it and zoomed it up. The ink looks more grey-to black zoomed up colorwise on the part we think was added, but it's definitely blue at 100%. Whoever added the extra cursive part in blue, it flows smoothly, albeit unevenly, may be due to a variance in pressure on the pen or ink flow, no sign of skipping like it is running out. One sign of a forgery with a ball-point pen are dots where the forger, trying to copy from a facsimile stops and starts. Didn't see any sign of that but don't feel like spending too much time on it.

Rush alluded to what bloggers were saying but didn't give an opinion. He did say there was no parking lot behind the restaurant. It wouldn't have had to be a parking lot; there would be some kind of access from the rear and dumpster, etc.

You know what happened to Joe Arpaio and Mike Zullo. And nobody got anywhere in any court.

Whether Roy Moore molested younger girls or not, he could bring a lawsuit on this; he should, may be holding his intentions close to the vest or waiting for the next eruption.

Mea culpa. I was going by hearsay from another source published yesterday.

Hmmm, we clearly need the input of the world's foremost expert on forgery in cases of potential political (figurative) assault...

It is VERY likely that when cornered on why the inks don’t match up, she’s going to say she put in the rest of the information for posterity, but that he really did sign her yearbook.

I still have several questions, though:

1. What year is the yearbook from? Is this from a 1976-77 yearbook, or a 1977-78 yearbook? If it’s a 1977-78, the date is almost certainly wrong, and thus indicates a real likelihood of a forgery-gone-wrong. Yearbooks don’t come out in the middle of the year for many reasons. One of the big ones is that some of the sports seasons are not over at that time (e.g., basketball season). There would be no indication of team results, etc. That, by the way, would be another way to validate the signature date. If the basketball season record is given in the yearbook, and it’s a 1977-78 yearbook, then it’s a fake signature/date.

2. Under exactly what situation is a deputy DA signing a kid’s yearbook? By her own account, how did this even happen? I’ve never heard of getting people from outside your school (i.e. students, teachers, staff) to sign yearbooks. It seems very odd to me, just for this single reason.

I don’t believe the situation but I’m not quite sure this is definitive proof.

The interesting thing about the color change is that all of the information that connects the note to Roy Moore occurs in the second color. The word "Roy" is in the first color. But that could be any Roy in the school. "Moore" is written in the new color. It as if the woman went to Gloria Allred and said this note is from him, and she said, that isn't good enough, can you add more detail?

I remember being a 14-year old girl. It’s possible that she forged his name back then to make herself seem important to her friends. A girl has a crush on a guy and pretends...

Did I read that she was working at the restaurant? What age were teens allowed to work in 1977? Today teens can work ages 14-15 in retail, clerical, or child care; no place where alcohol is served.

Moore needs to make a direct statement as to this signature being a forgery or not. If he believes it is then he needs to get an emergency hearing started right now. Get that yearbook to a forensic examiner right now.

Mine was actually delayed by the printer due to misprints. We didn't get them until after the school year ended, so they gave us all a special multi-page insert to use for signings that we would glue into the front of the yearbook when we finally got them over the summer.

His name rhymes with BITCH and he looks like Yertle the Turtle.
