Tucked into Republicans’ tax overhaul bill is a technical tweak to how inflation is measured. The change is designed to hold down the deficit, but over time it becomes a significant tax increase that hits many of the same middle-class households who start out as the plan’s beneficiaries.

While these tax increases probably won't affect me, two of my kids are in the middle class that could be affected, and I know they will stop voting GOP - why vote for the party that promises tax cuts only to turn around and stab you in the back, especially when that party isn't all that interested in cutting back on frivolous spending.

I suppose we should thank you for “sharing” the half-baked views of the DUmmies with us.

The current system overstates “inflation”, as explained in the article.

Over time, this mathematical error gives retirees higher and higher “real” incomes from their “inflation-adjusted” pensions. And who pays for this “gift”? Young (and clueless?) “cube workers”. Of course!

I am not ungrateful for this “gift”, since I see that my winter vacations in the islands are getting more expensive every year.

We all know why Democrats want to keep working Americans down. I don’t know why you choose to push misinformation that helps them...
