I almost blinked. The first smile was in reply to your post and when I saw where the thread was, it was a scramble for the next in case you were lying in wait. LOL
LOL! He is anxious to get home....he would like to see his wife after 9 weeks. And she is working. He flies into Atlanta and then takes a shuttle bus to Columbus, or Columbia, or something close to that, and then a 30 minute ride to get home.
Too far....I would be nuts by then.
It was nice just to sit and talk and answer questions he had. Tonight we called for pizza and got to chat a bit more.
I enjoy listening to big band music, too.
My Mom’s brother used to play trumpet with several of the big bands.
I’d say “anxious to get home” is an understatement. :-)
I gather it’s going to be a little while before he can go back up there since he’s having knee replacement done while he’s home, huh? He probably won’t mind that.
But what a looooooong ordeal to get home.
Glad you two have been able to have a nice visit. No interruptions for the first time in quite a while.

Good morning, ML...((HUGS))...was it tough crawling out of bed? Sounds like you had a really fun night.
He left for the airport about 90 minutes ago. I’m moving things around because the Best Buy Geek Squad guy is coming in the morning to, hopefully, mount my tv on the wall.
The time they gave me was between 8a and noon. UGHHHH! There will be no sleeping in. And they will call between 7:30 and 8 with a closer time.
So I’m heading off to bed...
Rest well when you get there.
