BENSONHURST, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A man has been arrested after reportedly punching a woman in the face over a 'manspreading' complaint on the subway in Manhattan.
Derek Smith, 56, was arrested and charged with assault on Saturday evening.
Samantha Saia said the ordeal started as soon as she took a seat next to the man on an N train in Bensonhurst during the morning commute.
"He started pushing me and manspreading me into the wall," Saia said.
That's when Saia said he turned violent.
"He told me expletive, you expletive, I've raped white b****** like you before. You're nothing and then he elbowed me," she said.
So she said she put her earbuds back in and then it turned even uglier.
"He said 'Don't ignore me. I felt this.' I turned around and bam, I banged my head into a wall. And at that point I just felt blood gushing."
Her lip was bruised, swollen and bloodied.
But it could have been worse if a Good Samaritan didn't step in, and that's when a passenger on the train started recording.
The Good Samaritan jumped in and confronted the subway attacker. He forced the man to exit the train at the next stop.
Sounds like your ex might be a bit touched. Five times being mugged should be more than enough for even the most daft person to catch on.

Mr. GG2 got into it with a Paki in the parking lot of CVS not long ago. The guy jumped out of his truck like he was going to charge and Mr. GG2 told him he was going to kick his raghead azz. So he decided to jump back in his truck. LOL!

The reality is there’s more of than they think. Muslims hate us, liberals hate us, but there’s still a lot of us, they can’t win without a hell of a fight which quite frankly I don’t see them winning.
I would not sit next to this guy and I am just a little smaller than the good Sam. None of my family but especially the women would get near that guy. He just simply screams crazy unstable fascist. Maybe she had sensitivity training and wished to express her bona fide anti white feelings.
Then "she" throws her arm and shoulder into the path of the closing doors, attempting to get into the car. Train operator on the loudspeaker telling "her" to not block the door, train can't leave until "she" stops blocking the door. This went on for several minutes before "she" yanked her arm free and stayed on the platform. So when riding the subway avoid strange "women" in tight mini-skirts! I have had several encounters on the subway that almost ended up in a fist-fight, challenging someone else in my face. But this situation with a cross-dressing tranny is one I would avoid for sure.
Where is Bernie Goetz when you need him? I would say a few of Ann Coulters’ burley men riding around looking for people like that would put a stop to it real quick. None of this Guardian Angel crap.

WHY? Why would you live in a place where you have to be herded like cattle onto a train just to get to work? Horrifying.
It was Fleet Week in San Francisco. Hundreds of thousands poured into the City for festivities, nearly impossible to drive in and park, so taking the subway and walking to the piers was the best way. Thousands of normal people including many sailors/military personnel, and many families and tourists. Spent an enjoyable day including a great lunch with a bay window to watch the Blue Angels perform while we ate. We're long retired, and don't miss doing the subway commute. As for the commute, both of us were very well paid and didn't mind the commute. With parking going for $20 (minimum) and up per day, the trains were a bargain.
