“...See my post 146. I thought the SRT Challenger had 485 HP? I recently met a guy who showed me his Hellcat Charger rated at 707 HP. Both are also damn fine vehicles....”
2011 392 Hemi was rated at 470hp stock. Adding the optional Mopar cold air intake adds another 60hp which puts at 530hp. BTW, this car is the most temperature sensitive car I’ve ever owned. The difference in power on a 50 degree day versus a 90 degree day is quite impressive. I attribute it to that cold air intake.
FWIW,my younger brother has a 2015 HellCat.....unlike me, he’s afraid to drive his.....LOL. He let me drive it with the red key fob....I doubt I’ll ever get another opportunity. :)

I wonder if GM has a different air intake system for the Camaro SS? I know the Corvette also sports the 6th Gen 376 c. i. LT1, but has a different exhaust system which boosts HP to around 460. Rumor has it that the LT1 actually puts out significantly more power than GM claims - this based on some dyno data run by independent sources. The supercharged version (in the Camaro ZL1) of that engine is rated at 650 HP.

The one thing I have not yet seen is the Challenger Demon, rated at 840 HP.

What I find truly amazing is how much power these beasts put out and yet how docile they are in street traffic!
