A counseling session can be any number of things, primarily to discuss performance of duties where Pro/Con (proficiency/conduct) marks are given to junior Marines or fitness reports on NCO's. Or it can be when a Marine has strayed from the pack and needs to be adjusted prior to non-judicial or criminal punishments being meted out.
