I lost trust in the FBI in 1998. Apparently the AG, Director, and the other 93 positions have become political, and therefore corrupt.
Abolish? No. Totally reform, yes.
On balance the FBI has been worth the expense.

I made a skillet full of taco meat. Really good stuff. But then i spilled in some rat poison. Should i throw it all in the trash... or should i try to save it and “totally reform” it?
For bonus points, explain we didn’t allow the Germans to just “totally reform” their political formations like the SS?
