When he finally went to bed early in the morning on Oct. 2, Sean Hannity had a good sense, as he typically does, of how he would structure that night’s Fox News Channel broadcast. He’d lead with Puerto Rico, and a defense of the Trump administration’s hurricane relief efforts, before moving on to the N.F.L. players who continued to kneel during the national anthem before games. But by the time he woke up, a few hours later — Hannity rarely sleeps more than four hours a night, a trait he shares with his friend President Trump — the screen of his iPhone was jammed with alerts of a shooting in downtown Las Vegas, where a man named Stephen Paddock had opened fire on the attendees of a country-music festival. Dozens were dead, hundreds injured. “What the hell is going on?” Hannity recalls thinking.
In his morning call with his senior executive producer at Fox, Porter Berry, and his executive producer, Tiffany Fazio, he suggested a rewrite of the opening monologue, a six-to-seven-minute riff that he sees as the most important part of the show. On Twitter, he told the producers, he’d noticed many liberals calling for increased gun control. He wanted to center his monologue on a theme he frequently returns to on Fox and on his syndicated daily radio show, which reaches approximately 13.5 million Americans: Why was it that liberals always used tragedies to further their own political ends? To make the segment really hum, he would need material to react to — Hannity’s most effective segments are oppositional — and Berry and Fazio agreed to start digging.

Too much information. Not enough time. I do think that Hannity should be in consideration to replace the kinder and gentler Pence in 2020. We need a no nonsense bulldog in 2024 like Trump. Sheriff Clark and Palin might work. On the job training. If they come up short Pence can be waiting in the wings. How about that Kansas Sec. of State?
Why did Hannity suddenly stop looking into the murder of Seth Rich?
A resume doesn’t count anymore. If resume’s were important the smartest woman in the world wins. Obama would be as successful as if he were white. If Trump destroys the left and the world’s threats in his 8 years perhaps we could go with the most libertarian like Rand but then that’s a bit naive.
Rubbish. I look forward to 8 years of President Pence after Trump is finished. A fine man who walks the talk and represents what real America is all about. No offense to Hannity, but he is an intellectual lightweight whose appeal is limited to about 20% of the population. If he has a career in politics in mind, he should move back to New York and run for Mayor.

From CNN: The two posed for the press on the front steps, and in the photo released by AP, Kobach is holding a document that is facing the camera, which appears to lay out in boldfaced type guidelines for the role the two men were seemingly discussing.
The document is titled "Department of Homeland Security" and underneath reads "Kobach Strategic Plan for First 365 Days."
Kobach is certainly not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

And he constantly interrupts others as though he isn’t even listening to them. I hit the kill switch when he does that. Has right ideas and politics though.
2024 would be more open if Pence was not around in 2020. Too much pressure on the voters to nominate a sitting vp. Would Perot have run if Dole won the nomination in 88? A moderate with a temper but his stature would have carried him and the Soviet nuke takedown management would have gone just as well.
Has anyone asked him? Has he indeed stopped, or is he awaiting some data or some corroboration?
I’m bored with Hannity. He either needs to put up or admit that he was leading us all along.

He does fill one niche nicely. He is often accused of being too repetitive. But like the left repeating the lie until it is accepted as truth, he pounds on the truth until it is recognized as truth.

That’s for sure. It’s a rehash of everything we heard hundreds of times before his time slot and who needed to hear it all again? That’s the reason I gave up watching his show weeks before I gave up FOX and all other TV news entirely. I am now “3 weeks” sober on TV news and I feel great - kind of like quitting smoking. Liberated! There had to be a limit to the screaming/hollering/yammering/yakking/interrupting/arguing and I reached that limit.

It’s an irksome habit not only for Hannity. I don’t see any interviewer commenting on what he/she just heard from the interviewee...the guest may as well just sit there and say nothing as whatever they’ve said goes unacknowledged anyway. Don’t remember where I heard it but recently someone remarked on people who are busy formulating what they are going to say next instead of listening to the person who is talking to them. Very, very true! Hate to admit it, but I’m guilty of it also.

I thought he lived in one of the boroughs and did his show from NY....
His whole show is that way. He’ll repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat and repeat again, ask a guest a question and interrupt in a nano second after asking the question, seldomly giving the guest a chance to answer. His radio interview with Assange comes to mind.
If Matthew Shaer still has a job after Christmas maybe he can look into the ‘fake hate crimes’ used against traditional Americans... Shaer wrote a fairly balanced piece - that’s not going to be good for his job prospects - but maybe he’ll still have a job. Who knows? Here’s some stuff for his next piece:
