'Forget It': Bolton Says US Running Out Of Diplomatic Options With North Korea
Fox News Insider ^ | 11-29-2017

Posted on 11/29/2017 1:18:33 PM PST by blam

Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton said today that the diplomatic options are running out after North Korea fired a new kind of intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

The rogue dictator Kim Jong Un boasted that the Hwasong-15 can be armed with a nuclear warhead and could strike the U.S. mainland.

The ICBM was fired at 2:48 a.m. local time on Wednesday, the regime said, traveling 596 miles and demonstrating the potential to reach a range of 8,100 miles.

Bolton said this test-launch is "significant" because, if the early estimates are confirmed, it leaves no doubt that Pyongyang is "getting very close" to being able to threaten the United States with a nuclear attack.

"You have to ask when we're going to start seriously considering a military option," he said on "Outnumbered Overtime."

Bolton said he does not foresee "dramatic action" by China, leaving the Trump administration with a "binary choice": use military force to destroy the nuclear program or accept a nuclear-armed North Korea being able to target any U.S. city it wants.

Harris Faulkner asked whether a new round of financial sanctions could make an impact at this stage.

"Forget it. There is no time for this to have impact," Bolton responded.

It is time to start knocking them down. The Israelis announced yesterday that their “Iron Dome” is now operational on ships and planes. This means that it has been operational for some time. The world would accuse us of being the aggressor, but so what. It would send a strong message to the anorth koreans and Russia and China.

"I’m old enough to remember the Soviet pilots in the MIGs flying for the North Koreans."

Me too.

They were using these: (Mig 15's)

And, we were using these: (P-80's)

A solid fuel, road mobile ICBM with a Thermonuclear weapon is the ultimate rogue state nightmare.

This capability must be pre-empted in days or weeks. There is no other option...now!

Should our POTUS fail to do this he will be derelict. There can not be time allowed to build these by the dozens.

It must be pre-empted NOW.

“Maybe in ten years we’ll have the tech to pull that off. Just keep stalling until then.”

In ten years they’ll have at least 100 of these solid fuel, road mobile nukes. All with range to reach the US.

That’s not a world you or your children want to live in.

“Don’t we have a capability of shooting down anything they can put up?”

Maybe, at best.

Well I know we got navy ships that can’t avoid hitting other ships. So our tech must be real good. Maybe is right. 50% chance at best?

I’m suspicious of the origins of Rocket Man’s missiles.

Me too. And the source of his nuke technology. On the last I'm convinced there's constant nuke tech exchange between Iran, Pakistan and NK. And I'm sure they have plenty of spies right here in the good old USA.

“I’m afraid time has come but it won’t be easy or pretty.”

It’ll be a friggin’ DISASTER!

But better tonight than tomorrow.

Seoul and Tokyo are almost certain to be nuked. Each of those cities has over 20 million people.

But that’s better than Seattle, SF, LA, Denver, Dallas etc.

On any day of the week.

“50% chance at best?”

Only if they send no more than two.

If they send 8-12, we’re nuked. Pretty much certain.

North Korea’s nukes are not the only weapon in its arsenal

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/08/16/north-koreas-nukes-are-not-only-weapon-in-its-arsenal.html

...Kim Jong Un’s military has been collecting large stockpiles of nerve agents, such as sarin and VX, that could target U.S. military bases in the region and large cities like Seoul and Tokyo, according to a new report...

Thanks for the pix. Looking at the MIG design, who did the Soviets get from the Germans? We got von Braun, thank goodness.

"We got von Braun, thank goodness."

Yup. Redstone Arsenal

Saturn 5 Rocket

"The largest production model of the Saturn family of rockets, the Saturn V was designed under the direction of Wernher von Braun and Arthur Rudolph at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, with Boeing, North American Aviation, Douglas Aircraft Company, and IBM as the lead contractors."

Werner von Brahn and JFK, May 1963

There's still a sizeable German community in North Alabama with origins to this effort/period. Young Germans today are migrating there because the area reminds them of their homeland, they say.
