“Well, She’s no Hillary but Hillary survived and vigorously contended for years, but she proves the point, sociopaths can be popular.”

I have been astonished, especially when Bill Clinton and Barak Obama won second terms. By that point it was obvious they were not as advertised, but a majority of people voted for them regardless. Then, Hillary, the most manifestly unqualified candidate in American history, but for some incompetent campaigning, might easily have won the presidency. One would think that Elizabeth Warren, somebody who is obviously not even 1% Indian, would have been laughed off the ballot. Instead, she won.

What did the people who voted for these sub-prime candidates see in them? It has to be more than just free stuff.

Look at who the GOP chose to run against them in their ssecond terms...nothing astonishing about their reelections. To the casual observer it might seem as though the GOP actively sought to have Clinton and Obama reelected.
