Progressives claim the decline in viewership is not related to the anthem protests. They are wrong. I visited my wife’s family on Thanksgiving. They are Texans and very devoted football fans. Without exception they are boycotting the NFL. If the NFL has lost Texas, it is in deep, deep trouble.
My family is liberals.
They complained about the “Neanderthals boycotting the NFL”.
But—they weren’t watching the games!
