Honestly, sports leagues shouldn’t be getting involved politically anyways, and the same thing can probably be said of consumer brands too. Like who cares what the NFL thinks of Trump? Who cares what they think of the GOP tax bill? It’s a sport’s league.
Likewise for Starbucks: if you virtue signal & pick Syrian refugees over unemployed Americans, don’t be surprised if millions of people stop drinking your coffee.

Wait until the CBA expires in 2020, then all hell is going to break loose. The owners are going to have tremendous leverage bringing down contracts norms, and that is not even including the potential of removing NFL tax exemptions.
There is plent of time left this season to hit that goal.

I'm not an MBA, however there should be such a thing as an inverse multiplier (if not, there should be) in which losses compound in ways not easily seen.
Perhaps a biz expert could straighten me out on this.
