H.R.1 "The Tax Reconciliation Act" has just passed the Senate on a vote of 51 to 49.
VP Pence was there, just in case his vote was needed. Corker voted no.
Yep!
Regardless whether or not this bill turns out to be an improvement, stocks will go up bigly for at least a while longer.
I just turned the tv to CSPAN to watch the vote. Trump is no doubt going to be sending out a tweet soon. LOL!
The Pence vote was needed. The Cruz amendment was 50/50. Tax cut for private school spending. RATS hate that one! HA!
The Senate actually did something. Pretty amazing, I had to stay up to watch.
Cucker is an ass...
The House will be pressured to concur in the Senate amendments, rather than sending the bill to a conference committee. A conference report would have to be passed by both House and that would give the squishy Republicans another chance to kill this bill.
Suck it Dems.
Corker must get kneecapped on his way home tonight. With his traitorous action on the Iran treaty this cat will live in infamy.
Good. Wow that is late on the E coast.

Wonder if elimination of the State Income Tax deductions will be included? As a former resident of NY State, I was in the 51% tax bracket when NYC, NYS and Federal Taxes were added together. The point is, if the Reps / Sens. from NY do not like the removal of the deduction, please explain to the rest of us why we have to pay added Federal Tax to cover their short fall because their state has high taxes. OK, I’m listening.
Now they must reconcile the House and Senate versions. Will the result look anything respectable? This is where they finally write and read the details, likely sneak in all kinds of garbage.
Individual mandate gone. Obamacare is over.
Corker is a hypocritical s**t. Deficit my ass. Hes never seen government spending he didnt like...as he lined his pockets with the skim.
Tax cuts for the rich! Tax cuts for the rich! Polly want a cracker?
One of the thoughts is that eliminating the Federal deduction for state & local will put pressure on the high-tax, deep blue states, since the ultra rich (who provide an outsized share of state tax $$$ receipts) can easily pack up and move to a low-tax or no-tax state.
Now to build the wall !
