I'm starting to suspect that there are more responsible private citizens with guns than there are police officers. Private citizens know they have to be able to justify any shooting, no matter how necessary it is. Police officers know they'll likely get away with any shooting, no matter how unnecessary it is.

The video was deeply depressing. Police have the power to take lives - they have to be better vetted, better trained, and have active body cams at all times.

I agree. Something must be done to protect us from people like this. We cannot live under this kind of threat. It’s not right. I’m remembering now and wonder what happened with that one cop who shot and killed a woman in her nightgown when she came up to the police car after reporting noises in her alley. I think it might have been in Minnesota.
