So lets say the EU wins at their court. Then what? They cant force the countries to execute their orders, so they only have economic sanctions to leverage. But imposing those sanctions hurts their own people as much ch as the countries they are trying to force their bidding on.
This wont end well for anyone is option one.
Option two. In steps the US with bilateral treaties to replace the EU stuff at slightly higher prices due to the increased distances. US and anti-refugee countries prosper, EU countries suffer economic damage. EU gets ticked and has no additional leverage beyond military force - oh but wait without the US their force is limited. Theyre stuck. Now what.
