We've just finalized travel details which will get us back to B-ham. I've been dieing to revisit Nabeel's . One of the most delectable dishes ever. I dream of it.

Moussaka Selected by the Alabama Dept. of Tourism as "100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama before you die"
Eggplant and ground beef casserole with Béchamel topping and garnished with a splash of tomato fondue.

Every been ?

You were discussing fishing v. golf. AB's Bama has some of the best with their Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Classic golf courses all over the state. Gorgeous and affordable....run by the state's employees pension/retirement organization, iirc.

Why do I not live there ?

No. I’m about 110 miles from Birmingham.

I do grow a lot of eggplant. One of my favorites veggies. I make Baba Ganoush, Moussaka and one of my favorites, dried eggplant chips in olive oil and salt. I dry them with the oil on so it dries too. Not as messy as it sounds. More like beef jerky eggplant.

Maybe my cookin’s not as good as a restaurant, but pretty yummy to me!
