Boy, I don't know what you're looking at, but I see a level of physical capability, in strength and in speed, far beyond what had been familiar to me. Perhaps what you are reacting to is "stalemate". Everybody is so good, nobody can win ... that sort of thing.
That’s a fair point, let me revise my statement:
There are a handful of teams that have a real chance of winning the SB and 25 also-rans. Unless two of those handful of teams are playing each other, there’s nothing really compelling about the game.
Doubtful. I watched football back when real men played the game. Not a bunch of roided, mentally challenged thugs, but real athletes.
Those old time players would have beaten the snot out of this group. Especially under the old rules, they might be beat on speed, but they could do things that escapes the mental midget superstars of today, like tackle or run a complete route even when the ball isn’t coming their way.
Very few colleges run pro set offenses anymore, so the drop back QB in college is obsolete.
The only way to win in the NFL if the QB to be a drop pack pocket passer.
The minor leagues no longer produce.
