Hollywood stars are storming social media and urging their fans to turn out and vote for Democrat Doug Jones on Tuesday. many of them using the hashtag #RightSideOfHistory, launched a last-minute campaign to stop Judge Roy Moore’s bid for the U.S. Senate.

Will & Grace star Debra Messing posted a video offering her support for Jones’ Senate bid, as did comedian-actor Keegan-Michael Key and Nashville star Connie Britton.

The left-wing celebrity support for Jones in Alabama is reminiscent of the Hollywood-heavy campaign earlier this year for Democrat Jon Ossoff, who lost his bid against Republican Karen Handel in Georgia’s Sixth District special congressional election. Ossoff, a 30-year-old documentary filmmaker-turned-Democratic politician, lost his election bid despite the overwhelming support from celebrities who stumped for and contributed to his campaign.

Rather standard playbook stuff from the 80’s. It used to work back then. Democrats sure waste a lot of money by doing the same old shtick. Warren Beatty and Cindy Pauper used to get the MTV voters. Like 30 years ago.

Yeah, either this will help Moore or it will be a big goose egg for Jones.

I think most of them are doing it because their bosses told them to.

The only people who would vote for someone because of a celebrity endorsement was going to vote for them anyway. They’re wasting the money they’ve been overpaid.

Under normal circumstances those people wouldn’t be caught dead in Alabama, nor care who the ‘hicks’ in ‘flyover country’ elect.

Thank you Leftists.

You’ve made it unmistakable that you are no longer able to affect U. S. elections.

Very cool. Couldn’t have done it without you.

Will they have Zippy the Pinhead, the Bearded Lady, and Jo Jo the Dog-Faced Boy?

You really shouldn't be comparing honorable, respected people such as these to the Hollyweirdo lowlifes.

Celebrities? I never heard of any of them. But then, I haven’t watched TV for about 30 years or more. Just a few Reagan and Trump speeches on the internet.

I think the Hollywood @sses interference will hurt Jones, not help him.

I'm sure they are going to sway a lot of Alabama voters. NOT!

My biggest fear is that Moore didn't do enough to define Jones.

Jones has portrayed himself as a moderate who's willing to work with Republicans and Trump. That might play well to independents and libertarian-leaning Alabamians who want to be represented and get something back from the Federal government.

That happened to the conservative Dakotas, who started electing Democrats because they weren't getting their share of federal dollars.

The Un-Votes for Doug Jones. Any goofball endorsing Jones would just encourage a vote for Judge Moore.

Will & Grace is back...not watching, first episode was a slam Trump show and probably that’s the theme of every show in one way or another.
