Michael Morell admits he went after the new president without even considering what that might mean . . . "So, if I could have thought of that, would I have ended up in a different place? I don't know. But it's something I didn't think about."

I assumed they thought it through and either didn't care or decided it was worth the risk, but these career intelligence professionals are even less competent than I assumed. How could they not even consider how their opposition (an American president who supports America) would respond to their treason? Is that how they think when evaluating other professional decisions? "We'll act, and the other side won't respond, so our plan will work."

Maybe that’s what usually or always happens, until now. After all, all these people really do is listen to other people’s phone calls.
