Yes! That presser wasn't a resignation speech, it was a self-pity party and a sleazy cheap shot and Moore and Trump. Notice that as of now he's still in the Senate and as of yet hasn't set a date for his "resignation".

I think you’re quite correct. He wasn’t going to resign for “these” reasons when a soon-to-be election might give him an out. He knows what all this #metoo stuff is about, he knows he’s being thrown under the bus and they’ll be far less pressure if it all fails on Moore & Trump.

I think you’re right. Franken has no intention of leaving.
He was stalling, buying time until the Alabama race is decided. If Moore wins, Franken will make a “moral equivalency” argument to keep his seat.
