Our polling place is tiny. There are 4 poll workers, one voting machine, and a space heater. We were there about 9:15 this morning, and were #’s 94 and 95. That doesn’t sound like a lot but Mr. Hawkins (yes I know all of them by name) said that 95 was about all they had 7.p.m. at the previous voting occasion.
My precinct in Decatur is fairly large, the last two elections in the primary and runoff for Judge Moore, the turn out was very low. Both times when I showed up there were just two or three other voters. This morning at 8:30 AM it was a full house probably 30-40 folks waiting to vote, very similar to a national election and Decatur is a very conservative area.
