Alabama votes on Tuesday in a special election to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions, now the attorney general. The last polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern. Strong support for Roy S. Moore, the Republican, is expected in rural, mostly white parts of the state and in its northern half. The Democrat, Doug Jones, aims to create a lead in the urban counties that include Birmingham and Montgomery, and across a band of largely black counties.
One critical battleground is a trio of smaller, whiter cities: Mobile, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville. Mr. Moore won a hard race in 2012 by keeping things close there. Mr. Jones hopes to win the cities by a convincing margin.

Democrats will call this a resounding defeat for Trump, and will be claiming huge momentum for the 2016 midterm elections.
Guaranteed that with them having the biggest number of seats to defend, that they will end up losing at least 5 of those, and perhaps up to 10.

Maybe. Maybe not. They may try a related but different tactic. They will go after their opponent's supposed strength. Moore built his reputation on defending the 10 commandments monument and being a stalwart Christian. So they got these women to show him as this supposed hypocrite.
Mo Brooks is a solid conservative and they might go after something that purportedly shows he is a lying hypocrite. In moore's case they had something to start with as Moore did have a penchant for younger women when he was in his 30s. They just sort of "embellished" the stories a bit ... or not. Who knows what really went on?

The largest part of Moore’s problem was that he never really addressed nor could he put away the allegations of the 14 year old from forty years ago.
Yeah, the RINOS wouldn’t have supported Moore. Plus the media would be calling conservatives hypocrites for supporting a man who was accused of the things Moore was. The libs would have spun it that way.
When 100% of the votes are cast, that is when I’m going to say OK...

I’m just wondering if the voters of AL wanted to spare Roy Moore the crap that would be thrown at him from the RINOs. Just a thought. Let Jones have it for 3 years, and then come back with a R win to defeat Jones. I also think that Moore should have used that woman’s forgery words in a last minute ad instead of doing the pro-life one. Just a few random thoughts on my part. Did Moore campaign heavily? I didn’t keep up with that, but it seems that maybe he thought he had this in the bag and didn’t need to.???

Trump was right again, but so many... even Bannon thought they knew better. None of this would have happened if they had just listened to our President.
I hope those 20,000 write in voters are proud of themselves. I just hope no issues come up where Moore’s vote would have mattered. This is really going to elate the Democrats and Never Trumpers; looks like the empire is striking back.

Why is Roy Moore a bad candidate? He’s pro God, pro Constitution, pro America and a decent man. We have too many bad and ignorant citizens. The founders warned us of such a possibility.
