Yup! IMO, this is the most maddening part of all of this.
He has to go through all the allegations in detail so he can get his stories on the news highlights all day.

Wonder if “Andy” McCabe pulled out of his scheduled committee appearance because this text emerged. Surely someone on the committee would have been all over McCabe for an explanation. He needs more time to coordinate a cover story.
Rosenstein admitted the DOJ had no idea about the vile anti-Republicanism and anti-Trumpism of Peter Stzrok, when just minutes before he said that he was confident that nobody on Mueller’s team had political bias that would affect their ability to be unbiased. I guess its on the honor system that they’re impartial. UFB.
Speaking of dumb as a rock. Ole Hank Johnson got his turn and immediately asked Rosenstein, "if Guam adds more people to the island, will it tip over?" ;)
They are oblivious to political opinions, and by pure chance they did not hire a single Republican?
Sessions cleared the way to let Rosenstein hire Mueller...

This scandal is greater than Watergate! It is the Obama Administration who should be investigated for abuse of power, collusion and treason. The criminals are investigating themselves, it would be a good comedy if it weren’t so pathetic.

I’m not going to praise Rosentein but I’m finding it difficult to demonize him.
Trump can fire him! And won't!
I watched 30 minutes and came to this conclusion.. "A LIVESTREAM of NON-STOP BULL$HIT"
Rosenstein sees no problem with his best friend Mueller's judgement related to the prosecuting team that Mueller picked.
Rosenstein sees no problem continuing an investigation based on a false dossier.
Rosenstein see's no DOJ rules violation with Mueller and his own conflicts of interest.
Rosenstein now supports the broadening of the Mueller investigation to include investigating Trump's finances.
Rosenstein continues to stonewall about the evidence that was used to get the FISA warrant. And he defers on that investigation to the Obama nominated DOJ IG Michaal Horowitz. And that is the same IG who whitewashed Fast & Furious protecting DOJ AG Eric Holder.
Rosenstein sees no double standard in having a special prosecutor to investigate Trump, while not having a special prosecutor to investigate Uranium One and other similar matters. Related to that, and Rosenstein's own self interest, Rosenstein whitewashed the Uranium One deal. He failed to use key witnesses when he prosecuted a couple of low level fall guys in that case. And then he gave them lenient plea deals.
And that's the short list.
I see no difficulty criticizing Rod Rosenstein.
I guess you don't think the buck stops at his desk. A good, hard-nosed interview should have outed Sessions, who folds like wet cardboard.
Nice cliche, that. Reality is a wee bit more complex now than when Truman made it famous around 70 years ago. Like orders of magnitude more complex. So you aren’t a politician, see, but help from experienced pols is welcome. Along comes some senator that EVERYONE says is a great guy. He’s supposedly right on the issues. He appears to be loyal to you and your campaign. After you win, you do what you’ve done in business your whole career. You reward the senator with an important job. And the first thing that senator does is stab you in the back. If this was business, you’d fire the snake. But this is politics and you’re dealing with the aptly named Swamp, which promptly threatens you if you dare to fire the snake. You can fire him anyway and take your chances, but you have an administration to get off the ground and policies to implement. Choices, choices. None of them easy or good.
