You're dismissing the possibility that a lot of people who voted for Trump in 2016 voted for Jones in 2017. It's probably not a huge number, but this sort of dynamic happened even within the same election in 2016 in Pennsylvania. A sizable chunk of Trump voters voted for the Democrat candidate in the U.S. Senate election, and vice versa.

VOTER FRAUD I can't recall his name at present, but the representative of Alabama's gerrymandered black congressional district a few years back left office and more or less turned somewhat conservative. He openly stated he knew there was voter fraud in his majority black district and said if fairly often.
The problem with much voter fraud such as ballot stuffing is that the election officials themselves are committing the fraud, and what and who will it take to prove that and prosescute the guilty?
