Senate GOP whip John Cornyn told reporters on Monday that an amnesty for younger illegals wont be debated in the Senate this month, but will be considered in January. According to Reuters:
The U.S. Senate will not consider an immigration bill as part of year-end legislation but will turn to a measure protecting immigrant youths known as Dreamers in January, No. 2 Senate Republican John Cornyn said on Monday
The president has given us enough time to deal with this before March and so I think thats plenty of time and I expect us to meet it, Cornyn told reporters, adding, If we cant, then the president could extend the deadline if he chose to do so. But this is something were going to turn to, Im sure, in January.
The statement comes after Democratic leaders tried to intimidate GOP leaders with an unpopular and unlikely threat to block a government budget bill if the GOP did not agree to a no-strings amnesty for 3.24 million illegals.
Since then, two groups of Senators have prepared proposed amnesty packages for possible debate in the new year, despite the publics deep opposition to cheap-labor amnesties.

DACA was always an illegal program started by an illegal President to protect illegal aliens from our laws.
If we had an opposition party they would have sued to stop it in 2012 before it got started. The GOP wants amnesty as much as the Democrats.
End DACA.
Remove illegal aliens
“Cornyn and Dreamers. Both have overstayed their welcome. Buh-bye, now..”
We wouldnt even be discussing this if Trump had kept his campaign promise All he had to do was issue an EO to nullify the unconstitutional and illegal DACA EO by Obama
Cornyn must go, he is one of the GOP leadership who did nothing to stop Obama’s illegal DACA program.
Most of the GOP Senate is pro-amnesty.
Alexander, Corker, Hatch, Heller, Flake, Graham, Murkowsky, Hoeven, McCain and Rubio all voted for amnesty in 2013.
More of them would have but their vote wasn’t needed.
If we had an opposition party they would have sued to stop DACA as the states successfully sued to stop DAPA.
There would be no DACA if the GOP did not also want amnesty.
Hey my fellow FReepers, it was Trump who did a big campaign promise flip-flop on Obamas unconstitutional DACA EO. Trump, with a simple stroke of a pen, could end DACA
“immigrant youths known as Dreamers
They are known as dreamers only to the people who call them “undocumented” and “immigrants”.
The mouthful known as the the DREAM Act (acronym for Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act) has been introduced several times in the Senate and each time failed to pass.
These illegal aliens are DACAns. “Deferred” action.
Deferred means to put off to a later time, to postpone, delay.
Guess what? It’s time to send them home. We’re at the point now where Obama appointees are ordering the American taxpayers to foot the bill for Mexicans’ abortions.
End it now.
Wasn’t Trump elected on one of his promises of strict immigration enforcement? Unfortunately, Trump almost immediately flip-flopped on Obama’s unconstitutional and illegal DACA EO. Trump could end that EO today with a simple stroke of a pen. And without any stupid attacks on other Republicans...
As I said, if the GOP had sued in 2012, there would be no DACA to fight over.
But they want amnesty.
Trump is pretty much the only elected official on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
There are a handful of Senators and less than 50 in the House who side with US and the rule of law.
Both parties have been supporting a 30 year bipartisan plan of non-enforcement to flood the country with foreigners and change the demographics against the will of the citizens.
Trump is the only way we have of possibly keeping our country.
The Bush League that in many ways still runs the GOP wants that final amnesty to seal in p[lace the GHW Bush plan to turn the USA into North Mexico.
Wish I still lived in OK so I could call Sen. Lankford’s office every day and give him hell. I voted against him in the primary. He’s an establishment tool. Also, it’s not nearly as cold there. It’s colder than a well-digger’s butt here.
