Breitbart ^ | Dec 20, 2017 | Neil Munro

enate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell suggested Tuesday he will only bring an immigration bill to the Senate floor if it matches President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.

The proposed re-alignment with Trump and his populist supporters was included in a Wednesday statement by McConnell, and undercut retiring GOP Sen. Jeff Flake’s claim on early Wednesday that McConnell had agreed to an amnesty vote in January.

this is because the tax cut win will feed on its own success economically and people will feel it in their pocketbook and in the large expected number of new jobs. trump will become much more popular than he is now, and no amount of msm propaganda or democrat party whining can prevent it.

Add in one or two Supreme Court nominations

And that Energy Policy....making USA world leader in Coal, Oil, LNG and raw feedstock materials for the various plastics industries.

McConnell must have seen the fork in the road ahead of him and realized that taking the wrong tine was not good for his own political (and of course monetary) future. He could prove to be an asset to Trump and America. I am not really expecting that and am waiting to see if a knife comes out of his sleeve, but it is not impossible. Her is not ideological and will go with what gives or allows him the best material future. He, perhaps, kept up the “resistance” so long because the surrounding noise was so intense against the possibility of Trump’s success. Now with even the Democrats saying that Trump is being successful and getting what he wants. McC’s perception must maybe change. This is all a very good sign, but as yet, still just a sign, perhaps a false omen.

Yertle the Turtle McConnell can be extremely effective when he wants to as proved by his blocking/ignoring lame duck Obama’s nomination to the Supreme Court last year and with getting this tax bill over the finish line.

But he operates in what he calculates are his own best interests and can be a massive road block to getting things done as seen by the dozens of bills passed by the House this year that were left to rot in the Senate.

Flake was polling at under 20% in his home state before he announced his retirement.....

Plus there have been 2 fatal attacks in less than a month tied to diversity lottery and chain migration....

I don’t read this as the Swamp finally on board.... More of being forced into some shift begrudgingly for their own survival.

McConnell must have asked Santa Claus for a spine this Christmas. Maybe a new set of balls.

Whatever’s happened behind the scenes must be a doozie. I’d love to find out what it was, one of these days.

MCCONNELL was glowing at the WHITE HOUSE celebration following the passage of the tax bill.

My words exactly, there is no factual, reasonable, logical, common sense or legal argument against it; great minds do think alike!

McConnell is not used to winning. Almost none of them are. But he sure seemed to enjoy it yesterday!!! They all did. What a great event.

Winning can be addictive. Really feels good. McConnell might now be hooked. Let’s hope so. He would be one hell of an ally. Like him or not, McConnell has tremendous power.
