I heard some liberals say, that Obamacare is being gutted by this law.
Why? Because by taking away the penalty for not having insurance, too many will drop insurance, and then the obamacare rates will increase, which will put Obamacare on a vicious cycle of rate increases, fewer people enrolling, fewer insurers being in the program, etc.
I’m not saying I agree with that, just saying, that’s one liberal gloom and doom scenario I’ve heard.
The media build these kinds of straw men all the time. But imo this was a particularly difficult rhetorical trick to spot. Kudos to NB and the author for noticing it.

The AP, which years ago was a reasonably responsible news source, has degenerated into what I call the Associated Propagandists.
The pair of Associated Press “reporters” are just jealous that AP hasn’t given out $1,000 bonuses or finally raised their paychecks to $15.00 an hour.
I am looking forward to more of MY money back in my pocket next year.
Now if we could just get Congress to stop taking loans (i.e. the National debt) from foreign countries in our name. This is the generational theft that the baby bombers (who are most likely to benefit because they are now getting Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare)) have left for the future.
