“”The numbers [of no-shows] are higher, and it is noticeable,””

A No Show is not the same as a ‘tanked ticket sale.”

With a tanked ticket sale, the number of tickets sold decreases.

With a No show, people pay for the tickets, the team gets their money, but the ticket buyer does not show-up at the game.

Big difference.

Next years ticket sales will see the no-show converted into the tanked ticket sales.

Big difference.

Big difference in lost concessions and merchandise sales also. That's why they notice. Advertisers also notice the empty seats. So they did get their money from the ticket but a lot of ancillary revenue is staying away along with that no show. Tanked ticket sales will start showing up next year.

Not that I know anything about this since I don’t follow pro football and it does utterly nothing for me, but a no show is also a no-$10 beer and a no $17 T-shirt and a no-$5 parking. I’m sure these add-ons are tracked quite carefully as well.

Yes but,,,,,, also minus the sales of the over priced merchandise, snacks and beer. The parking attendants are next in the hit line the the local hotels, restaurants, and bars. I would imagine that Super bowl betting will be a little down as well. So much for future over paid contracts with the players.
Good Luck NFL.

A fan lost forever.

(PS) Next time do your own protesting off the field and out of uniform and in the mean time VOLUNTEER your time making the community a better place.

A no-show doesn't buy anything..no $50.00 parking, no $6.00 hot dog, $9.00 beers, no $5.00 pretzel..Teams take a big hit with no-shows.

Empty seats = less concession revenue.

Plus, the visuals makes it appear the NFL is a league in decline.
