Can you offer an explanation to the unbelievably disproportionate number of pitbull types that maim & kill?

We never heard of “pit bulls” until about the time Messicans began to break the border. Before then, the only dog Americans needed to be concerned about was the Rottie.

Can you offer an explanation to the unbelievably disproportionate number of pitbull types that maim & kill? Because Pit Bulls are strong enough to kill you. Most other breeds are not. An enraged Black Lab can hurt you, and may do serious damage, but they can't kill an average adult. Albeit, they don't have the disposition to want to try. A Pit Bull seems to want to try. It happens too often for it to be anything else.
