Targeting the rich? Start with the hypocritical, liberal Hollywood types and technocrats, then we can talk.

Yes. I also think that many are missing the real issue when it comes to achieving ‘the American dream’ - the issue of socioeconomic mobility, and whether our system supports it.

To better ones life economically one needs to bring more money in and/or spend less, and invest effectively. A growing and vibrant economy is one of the biggest determinants of whether there are opportunities to increase ones income. Thus, the cut in the corporate tax rate is the most important tax cut of all. We need to out-compete the rest of the world if our goal is to maintain one of the highest qualities of life in the world. You can't achieve that by suppressing entrepreneurial activity and the growth of American-based industry. There are other important determinants of socioeconomic mobility, and with almost all (if not all) of these the left and their Democratic party support policies that diminish the ability of individuals to ‘climb the ladder’.

“...liberal Hollywood types and technocrats...”

They’re not the problem.

It’s the people who vote for them that’s the problem.

(Scu&bags do vote for scu&bags you know.)

IMHO
