Apple's board of directors is now making CEO Tim Cook fly on private aircraft when he travels, whether for work or for pleasure.

"This policy was implemented in 2017 in the interests of security and efficiency based on our global profile and the highly visible nature of Mr. Cook's role as CEO," Apple said in a shareholder proxy statement released Wednesday afternoon.

It makes sense for a CEO of such a large company might fly private. An opportunity to get work done during the flight, but also removes the risk of being over heard by interested parties or Apple’s future plans.

Tell this genius to invent a solar powered jet. Problem solved. Then he can preach to us little people about how we should live.

The alternate energies do great damage to the environment for minimal gain.

They should make him telecommute. Physical presence is no longer necessary, especially his.

Perfectly normal for an executive of any high profile company to travel this way. Many high profile executives are not allowed to drive either.

Being employed by Olan Mills in the late 80’s as a member of the R&D Division, OM II had two private jets that we would use whenever possible. Several times we made trips that would be two or three day trips on commercial to wheels up at 0800 and being back by 1700 the same day.

Not only did it save time but also “time to market” that could be used to employ the products into the designs we were working on at the time. Then add to it, the separation from the normal ‘security’ dictated by ‘others’ to the security tailored to the trip.

Why do any executives, whose corporations afford it, fly private. Security and time.

Under normal circumstances, in a sane world, I would agree with you. But APPLE and Tim Cook have been on the Man Made Global Warming bandwagon from the beginning and ANY Person Employed by this company should be immediately FIRED and PROSECUTED and THROWN IN PRISON for DESTROYING THE PLANET.

Unless of course they don’t really believe the crap they have been selling and they are just part of a Criminal Conspiracy against the People of the United States to force them into poverty and live under tyrannical rule..

No CEO of a major public company should fly commercial

Then no CEO of a major public company should bray about global warming.

Apple chief executive Tim Cook has bluntly told climate change sceptic investors to ditch their stocks if they do not support his pledge to slash greenhouse gas emissions.

Why debate around the edges.

Tim Cook is a Globalist and Corporatist, a ruling elitist who wants a world without national borders and cheap labor pouring to wherever its needed.

The Soviet Union’s Gulag did that moving the “cheap labor” to wherever it was needed as I recall using the cheapest labor in the world, slave labor.
