I believe you're the one with the correct insight into his comment about Mooch.
Obama is only mentioning her to make it sound like she was a "steady advisor" to him. That's BS of course. She was on vacation most of the time.
But I think you're right. She is being set up to be "The One: Part Deux".

I think that’s the move but she suffers from the problem of increased exposure reduces likability. She is Hillary-Light in that regard.
