Maybe deblassio can pass a law that all snow storms must only drop an inch or less.

Yes. Winter officially begins December 21 of every year in the Northern Hemisphere.
Up here in the northern section of NY State known as the Southern tier we deal with snow normally from the end of October to April every year. Temperatures below freezing and below zero are common place. It’s called the nature of things. Global warming is a sham.
The temperature and climate is controlled by what is called nature.

NYC could get slammed by ‘bomb’ cyclone winter storm

What’s the problem? They have had ‘bomb’stupid politicians for many years. Also ‘bomb’ crime, ‘bomb’ illegals, ‘bomb’ taxes and a dozen other ‘bombs’. One more wont amount to anything.

Those back east have puny weakling snow storms. Out west snow storms kick their frozen butts. Even east coast trees look like skinny little twigs.☺

The city of Boston set a record a few years ago with something like 105-110 inches of snowfall over one winter. The people at the Boston home office of my company at the time used to brag about that.

Then I pointed out to them that Mount Baker, Washington set a record for the Lower 48 states with 1,140 inches (that's not a misprint!) of snow in the late 1990s ... and the ski area there closes periodically because the snow piles up higher than the ski lifts.

LOL.

I had a good friend in the ski patrol up there at the time. One evening they returned to base to find their cars buried completely in snow in the parking lot. Couldn't plow them out or snow-blow them out because they couldn't see where they were. They stayed the night in the lodge and dug them out with shovels the next day. And it was snowing.

Growing up on Long Island in 60’s 70’s we used to LOVE LOVE playing football in the snow.
Me too (W. Hempstead) - except we'd go "bumper hitching" ...

They already used “snowmageddon” and “snowpacalypse” so they are left with terms like, “snow bomb” for their hyperbole.

Lol. Janice Dean (Fox meteorologist) explained, earlier today, that it’s actually a meteorological term for this type system, that can “bomb” in pressure.

It does fit in nicely with the 24/7 news cycle mongers, though, doesn’t it?

Thanks Jane.

You know, I’ve been around for 51 years now, past 15 years of age. I’ve heard weather reports my whole life. So Janice, it may make sense to you, but for us folks who have had a brain actively listening to folks like you for over half a century, why not just stick with common English language.

Weather bombs? FAIL!

Not taking you to task here Jane.

No worries. I thought the same thing, when I heard her explaining it. She almost seemed a tad embarrassed by the term. :-) (Not the “OMG IT’S BOMBAGEDDON” Weather Channel nonsense.)
