Philippe Reines, a longtime adviser to Hillary Clinton who worked with her in the Senate, the State Department and in her presidential campaign, spoke before interns to give his insights on the current political climate.
Then interview aired on CSPAN.
Reines told the students he was worried millennials might become Republican if they notice they dont have to pay as much taxes.
Philippe Reines: I think millennials have to, they have to, they more than anyone have to say this is not normal and there is a lot of pressure to shut up(?) Donald Trump and his people want everyone to shut up. Get over the election. Hillary Clinton go away. Thats in their best interest. But thats not how it works I hope millennials dont fall into a lull. God knows how many of them will see their taxes go down and base it just on that
Yes. It would be awful if young millennials notice how much they get to keep of their toil and sweat with Republicans in office.
It makes it harder for the Democrat-Socialist lies to sink in.

I guess Democrats will have to increase welfare benefits for illegals so they can get more votes
I don’t see what they are worried about. Most democrat voters don’t pay taxes anyways.
Please pass the popcorn!
In the face of Trump’s triumphs why would anyone vote otherwise? Just as long as we get 100% of the WALL for Daca and he doesn’t cave— he is a shoe in in 2020. If he gets 10% of the wall then DACA gets 10%!! Otherwise he loses. I promise that. Daca is Amnesty!!
I grew up in MA in the 70s. Both parents were Liberal. I wasn’t terribly political, but the schools told me how the world worked, you know?
I went to college in Boston. When Reagan was elected, everyone understood that it was the end of the world. Crazy old guy. Stupid too. Was going to start nuclear war with Russia. Was going to screw up the economy with some foolish notion of tax cuts leading to more economic growth. Madness.
Well, I saw what he did. I saw what happened.
I’ve been a Conservative since about 1982 or 83.
The Democrats really should fear what the Millenials will see from Trump. It’s going to blow their minds.
top clinton aid worried Americans will wake up to the FACT that the democratic model for ‘success’ really really sucks, and discover that republicans were right all along
If Trump really wanted to get millennials on his side, he would address and do something about the insane price gouging of tuition.
Not to worry - kids with no jobs living in their mommy’s basement pay no taxes to begin with.....
Good luck with that. Professors making $200k a year, while video taping their classes and teaching on-line, having tenure and getting an outrageous pension after 20 years - is not going to reverse itself because democrat politicians trade the goodies for the votes. Unless and until, someone like Trump can educate and organize the brain-washed 14-15-16-17-18-19-20-21 year olds and their parents into a movement to dissolve teachers' unions - forgettaboutit.
Clintom had "Top advisors". Obama had "Bottom advisors". Guess what they advised? Reggie?
Plenty of high paying skilled technical jobs go unfilled because millenials want to pay $150,000 for degrees in Critical Transgender Theory instead. The best way to deal with price gouging tuition is to convince millenials to learn something of actual value to the economy.
First world socialist problems.
The problem is that the next election occurs before people calculate their 2018 taxes, in 2019.
Just con them into moving to a blue state and that will fix the matter.
The only word that comes to mind when I read the man’s comments is:
Floundering.
“Philippe”? That’s probably a big part of his whole problem right there.
W-2 employees will see larger paychecks starting in February. The new withholding rates are being sent out now.
So Republicans buy votes by giving people their own money, and Democrats buy votes with other people’s money. Those dirty Republicans!
Yep, you got it.
