Project Veritas founder James OKeefe claims in his new book that Donald Trump asked him in 2013 to get his hands on President Obamas sealed Columbia records.
In the introduction of his book American Pravda: My Fight for Truth in the Era of Fake News, OKeefe recalls meeting Trump back in 2013. OKeefe said that he didnt get the idea that Trump was a birther, but Trump did seem to believe that Obama might have misled people about being a foreign national.
He was confident Obama was born in the United States, but he suspected Obama had presented himself as a foreign student on application materials to ease his way into New Yorks Columbia University, maybe even Harvard too, and perhaps picked up a few scholarships along the way, OKeefe explains. Trump had reason to believe Obama was capable of this kind of mischief.

In the hopes of figuring out if Obama was participating in any misconduct, Trump allegedly asked OKeefe to uncover Obamas sealed records from Columbia University.
Nobody else can get this information, Trump reportedly told OKeefe. Do you think you could get inside Columbia?
As I explained, that was not exactly our line of work. We were journalists, not private eyes, OKeefe writes about the request. At the end of our discussion, Trump shook my hand, encouraged me to keep up the good work, and half-whispered, Do Columbia.'
And all government officials are honest. The original document posted was said to be a photograph of the page in the record book. Remember that fake rolled edge on the left side? Well if it was a photograph why were there all those layers on the document? Remember what happened to that official that said it was a true document? Remember the incoming Governor that said he would produce the document, then said he couldn't find it?
Take your advice and shove it.
I gave you good advice, but by all means coach, keep punting on the first down and expect to win the game on safeties.
We heard all that good advice both times obungo ran and we lost both times to a non NBC.
Yea, the trouble is the Birthers tainted any criticism of Obama.
You can’t win when your idea of a smart fighting tactic is to launch everything you’ve got at your enemy’s fortified position and drop a token bomb or two on their weak points.
Do you understand it to be dumb to do that?
I’m trying to inform you of how to fight without losing. Do you understand this or do you enjoy losing so much that you refuse to change your tactics. You notice how Donald Trump won by backing away from the claim that Obama wasn’t born in America and just now asserts that he never recognized himself as an American till sometime in college? Do you want to win like Trump or do you want to lose?
No you are trying to convince me that losing is more fun.
Oh really? So you won and got Obama booted on grounds of his birth location? I don’t seem to recall that. I do seem to recall a guy named Donald Trump taking the tact that I recommend and winning. Hmmm...
You lose because you fight terribly.
When you win, you lose but don't know it.
Tired of all this winning under Trump already?
Tired of all this winning under Trump already? Of corse not, but winning all the small items and losing the big one is not winning. If Amnesty is on the table then so is the Republic.
As a graduate of Columbia, I can tell you that transferring in to the College from another school is very rare. The admissions policies are rather strict. HOwever, if someone has the backing of a Black NY politician AND could show that he was a student from another country, his chances of transferring in to Columbia would be highly enhanced.
My contention for years is that he got in because of these two factors, but as for getting proof out of the Columbia files, good luck.
